I want you all to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers! I know there is a lot of uncertainty in the world right now, however there is one thing we can all be sure of and that is kids are resilient! This craziness will end, life will get back to normal, and I am looking forward to again walking into a classroom full of excited and eager children.
I am getting a lot of information about how things are going to look over the coming weeks and months, so new routines and tools for communication and collaboration will be coming. I want to remind myself and all parents that this is new, things will undoubtedly have issues at first but we will work those out as they come. For now we are all just doing the best we can. We must remember to be patient with ourselves and our kiddos.
As of now, virtual learning for Track 4 will not begin until we track back in. I'll keep you posted as soon as we hear more. Until then you can refer to the optional activities on the resources page shared last week.

Career Day!
We would like to create a Virtual Career Day for ALL kids at SCES using Google Classroom and Google Sites.
Please create a video about your career! They do not have to be elaborate or long, just something that provides basic information about your career, (job description, what you actually do day to day, education level, displays, why social emotional learning is important for your career, etc.) We would like to have all videos entered by the end of the day or Thursday, April 1 for the opening of VIrtual Career Day on Friday, April 3.
Our email will not support video attachments, so, if you would, please upload your video using the Google Link below:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Z5PxmGMC-YRK0katTdVT89H9D2bdYEIV?usp=sharing
Once we have he videos, they will be added to a Google Site for ALL students to explore. The site will also contain other useful links for students to explore Careers!
Watch for more information to come once the Google Site goes live.
Mr. Gordon
Parents,
Your SCES School Counselors have created a Google Classroom for Social Emotional Learning and would love it if you would join with your child in completing the "assignments" (not for a grade or anything). We have a some age appropriate assignments addressing worry/anxiety to start them off.
Later this week, look for review of SEL skills that students have learned so far this school year. Your children can practice these skills especially if they have siblings that they now have to be around ALL the time (How to deal with Anger, Conflict Resolution Croc Talk).
We will be adding assignments each week so please check back frequently.
To connect with our SEL Google Classroom, follow these directions:
1. Log into their WAKEID portal at wakeid.wcpss.net (ask classroom teacher for this information in K-2 if they don't already have it.
2. Click on Google Classroom.
3. Click on the + sign in the top right corner to "join class"
4. Type in this code ak2zhe2
5. Press Join.
Feel free to communicate with us through the classroom or our Google Voice Mobile Numbers (calls or text):
